Industrial Floor Coatings in Detroit, Michigan
Epoxy, polished concrete, warehouse floor painting and waterproof coatings for Detroit facilities
Ace Industrial Solutions installs industrial and commercial floor coatings throughout Detroit and the surrounding metro area. Most of the work we do in the city is in buildings that cannot stop operating, so installations are scheduled around production: weekends, shutdown windows, and overnight cure periods that put the floor back in service before the next shift.
Two Detroit projects below show the range, from an institutional epoxy floor to a waterproof coating on a wildlife tank at the Detroit Zoo.
Detroit Projects
Detroit Zoo, Wildlife Tank Waterproof Coating
A waterproof coating system applied to a wildlife tank at the Detroit Zoo. The work ran from surface preparation through application and finishing, with the tank returned to service and holding water. Coatings in an animal habitat have to be watertight at every edge and joint, and they have to stay stable once the tank is filled and occupied.
Detroit Historical Society, Institutional Epoxy Floor
The existing concrete had spalling, staining and general wear across the floor. After preparation, we installed an epoxy coating with a high-gloss finish. On a floor like this the preparation matters more than the coating: a worn slab with spalled areas has to be made sound first, or the new surface telegraphs every defect underneath it.
What We Install in Detroit
Industrial Epoxy Flooring
Multi-coat epoxy systems for manufacturing floors, assembly aisles and production areas, including safety line striping.
Concrete coating servicesWarehouse Floor Painting
Coatings built for forklift traffic, loading areas and distribution floors, installed in windows that do not interrupt shipping.
Concrete coating servicesPolished Concrete
Ground and polished slabs, including stained finishes, where a facility wants durability without a coating film.
Concrete coating servicesWaterproof Coatings
Watertight systems for tanks, containment areas and wet environments, as installed at the Detroit Zoo.
Project galleryElectrostatic Painting
On-site painting of railings, lockers, equipment and structural steel without removing them from the building.
Painting servicesPallet Racking
Racking supply, installation and repair, often scheduled alongside floor work so the space is handled in one shutdown.

The constraint in Detroit is rarely the coating. It is the schedule. A distribution floor that ships six days a week, a plant running continuous shifts, or a public building that cannot close to visitors all need the same thing: the floor back in service at a fixed hour, with no exceptions.
That is why we test before we commit on tight-turnaround work. On a recent four-weekend installation at a Michigan manufacturing plant, we built a full-scale sample of the complete system first, using the same products, crew size and timeline as the live job, then wear-tested it to confirm it would hold. That case study is here.
