Industrial Flooring and Polished Concrete in Nashville, Tennessee
Large-format warehouse and distribution floors, 50,000 sqft and above
We are a Michigan contractor that travels for large-format work, and Tennessee is one of the markets we take it in. Our completed project in the Nashville area is a 225,000 square foot polished concrete floor for Assurant in Mount Juliet.
If you are a national account or a developer with a large warehouse, distribution centre or manufacturing floor in middle Tennessee, we are set up to do that work. The detail below is honest about what we take and how scheduling runs, because travelling crews only make sense at a certain size.
Assurant, Mount Juliet, Tennessee
225,000 Sqft Polished Concrete
- Client:
- Assurant
- Location:
- Mount Juliet, Tennessee, east of Nashville
- Size:
- 225,000 square feet
- Slab:
- A two-year-old building that had never been occupied, so an essentially new and untouched warehouse floor
- Finish:
- Polished concrete, 3000 grit
An unoccupied new slab is a different proposition from a rehabilitation. There is no coating to strip, no oil driven into the surface and no patchwork of previous repairs. What it does demand is consistency: at 225,000 square feet, every pass has to match the one beside it, because a polished floor shows variation that a coated floor would hide.
The finish was taken to 3000 grit. At that level the surface reflects clearly enough to pick up the windows and the dock doors, which is what the photographs below show. Polished concrete at this grit is not a coating sitting on the slab. It is the slab itself, ground and refined, so there is no film to peel, blister or delaminate under traffic.
How We Work in Tennessee
We take Tennessee work at 50,000 square feet and above
That threshold is not arbitrary. Mobilising a crew and equipment from Michigan has a fixed cost, and below roughly 50,000 square feet a local contractor will serve you better and cost you less. We would rather tell you that now than after a site visit.
If your floor is smaller than that, we are the wrong call for it, and we will say so.
Job walks are scheduled in batches. Rather than flying down for a single site, we group site visits into one trip and review multiple locations against a single mobilisation. If you have several buildings, or you are a national account with more than one Tennessee facility, that works in your favour: the walk-through cost is spread across the portfolio instead of landing on one floor.
It also means timing matters. The sooner a site is on the list, the sooner it joins a scheduled trip rather than waiting for one to be justified on its own.
What We Install at This Scale
Polished concrete, as at Mount Juliet. Urethane cement for washdown, thermal shock and chemical exposure. Multi-coat epoxy systems for manufacturing and distribution floors, with safety line striping. Concrete repair and joint work where the slab needs bringing back before anything goes on top of it.
Our Michigan work covers the same range at the same scale. An 18,000 sqft installation over four consecutive weekends with no production downtime is a reasonable guide to how we schedule around a running facility.
Large Floor in Middle Tennessee?
Tell us the square footage, the building type and when it needs to be finished. If it is 50,000 sqft or more we will get it onto the next scheduled Tennessee trip. If it is smaller, we will tell you straight away.
